What a difference a few weeks make. That blast of warmer weather has melted most of the snow and I've already switched to running shoes and a lighter coat instead of my winter gear. Are you excited for this change? Does it inspire new yarn projects?
As for the store, here is all the latest news for Sweet Yarns for the month of April. Please read through all the notes below.
We are continuing in the Grey Zone - Lockdown as we begin April.
Customers are still able to come into the store to shop, however there are some changes. We are limited to two (2) customers or one (1) bubble at a time to maintain physical distancing.
Please make sure to wear a mask as per the Province's guidelines. We have hand sanitizer available for use.
Please do not touch anything unless you are purchasing it. I am happy to assist with pulling items off the shelves so you can have a better look.
We will continue with our current hours for the time being - Tuesdays (10 to 3), Thursdays (1 to 6) and Saturdays (10 to 3). If the times don't suit, contact the store to book an appointment.
You can shop through the website any time. If you prefer to not shop online, send me your list via emails, messages or phone calls.
We are continuing to offer curbside pickup, delivery and shipping. We want all our customers to be comfortable and get the supplies they need.
When Greater Sudbury returns to green or yellow, we'll reopen classes and in store knitting times.
Spring yarns have been ordered and we're waiting for their arrival (along with some yarns still on backorder). We do have a little in stock right now though. Check them out on the website.
Need something else? We're happy to order it in for you. Contact the store and we'll see what we can do for you.
We're starting our next Virtual MAL (make-a-long) on Thursday, April 1st. No, this isn't a joke. lol
I'll be showing tips and tricks as well as my own WIP during our Virtual Connections. We won't be meeting up in person for any crafting but you are welcome to share your progress in our Sweet Yarnies group on Facebook.
We are having so much fun connecting virtually on Facebook. It's great to have some new people joining in.
Virtual Craft Break - Mondays at 12:30PM (half an hour) through Facebook Live.
Virtual Knit Night - Thursdays at 6:30PM (one hour) through Facebook Live.
We also have a Facebook group to share the projects we're working on - Sweet Yarnies.
If you've been following the store on social media, you've seen my posts about a new big project I'm starting, the Library Blanket. I'll be continuing to share the journey through blog posts and social media. Feel free to join in too. If you have any questions or want to order yarn to make your own, please contact the store anytime.
Thank you to all those who continue to support Sweet Yarns through all this. I know it has been a trying time and it feels like there is no end in sight. As people continue to be vaccinated, I hope that there will be a positive impact on the numbers and we'll be able to get closer to our old "normal" soon.
Stay safe and healthy!
